Not sure why that irritates me, but it does.  There is no more sacred cow in academia than collegiate sports.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;We need to be exposing our kids to a lot of ambiguous information - literature, history, art... stuff that requires them to figure out what it all means how to see right and wrong as a matter of probability rather than simple binary. You've hit the nail on the head there. How often I've heard the question "Why do I have to study this?"
