If you reread the article from "Ha ha" below, you'll see how doubly crazy that lady is. I mean she's obviously crazy as she's trying to ban Harry Potter books when there are MUCH more pressing problems in our school (yes, I work at that school).
But her first argument is: HP promotes witchcraft. Witchcraft is a religion. This violates the separation of church and state.
Argument two: This wouldn't happen if we let God and prayer back in the classroom.
HUH?!

I think she has a point. If those kids weren't wasting all that time reading Harry Potter, they might have time to take a formal logic course from your colleague.
Then they'd be educated.
